Do you know what date today is? It is March, 3rd. It mean today is "Hina matsuri". Do you know what it is? Hina matsuri is the girl's festival. It's the day to pray for healthy growth and happiness for young girls. We display dolls called "Hina ningyo". Some of us throw dolls into river to drive away evil spirits.
Surprisingly 80% of dolls are made in my great home town "Iwatsuki" in "Saitama". However its popularity has been declining in recent years. I hope more people know and buy it. If you are interested in it, please ask me or google it by yourself.
